What is the course surface?

The Cleve Running Festival is ran completely on road surface.  You can check out the course map here

Will there be finisher medals?

Of course there will be finisher medals! 

Do I have to run?

Absolutely not! If you are not a runner both the 10km and the 5km events are open to walkers. 

Can I volunteer?

Absolutely! We are entirely  volunteer base and we will need many amazing volunteers on the day. If you would like to put your hand up you can complete the volunteers registration form and we will be in touch. 

Where are the start lines and how will I get there?  

Each of the event distances (21.1km, 10km and 5km) will have its own start line along the Mangalo Road. All participants will be bussed from the finish line at the Cleve Sporting Bodies out to the start lines. To ensure timely start of each event we ask participants to be at the Cleve Sporting bodies with plenty of time. Exact timings of buses listed in the event briefing which will be sent to all registered participants via email closer to the date.

Can I drive myself to or have someone drop me off at the start line?

No, all participants will be bused to their start line. This is to ensure safety for all participants. 

Please meet at the Cleve Sporting Bodies to catch the bus. The bus times will be finalised closer to the date and will be emailed to all participants who have registered. 

Will there be hydration stations?

There will be plenty of hydration along the track. The location of these can be found on on the course map here.

What is the elevation? 

The 21.1km has a steady climb before a decent into Cleve, while both 10km and 5km is mostly downhill. An elevation map can be found here.

Are prams allowed?

Yes, prams are permitted but the responsibility of the entrant to ensure all precautions are taken to ensure the child/person in the pram is safe.

Are Dogs allowed?

To ensure the safety of all participants only assistant dogs are permitted. This includes the finish line and race village and entire grounds of the Cleve Sporting Bodies.  

Will toilets and showers be available? 

The Cleve Sporting Bodies will be open on the day, there are full facilities including toilets and showers available within the Club. There are also toilets available at the Cleve Play Space. At each of the start lines there will be a number of portable toilets. 

Can I get a refund if I cancel my registration?

The Cleve Running Festival is non refundable. If you are unable to attend your entry will be forfeited. Your entry is also non transferable to a different person. 

What accommodation options are there?  

We have a full list of accommodation options within the Cleve District. You can find the list here. 

There are a number of other towns near by which may also have accommodation options. These include Cowell, Kimba, Port Neill and Tumby Bay.

Will there be food available? 

We will be hosting a race village at the finish line which will have a range of food and other refreshments available. More details will be available closer to the date. 

Is there  time cut off?

Yes, there will be a cut off for finishing times. This is set at 4hours after the half marathon starts.
